Trans Awareness Month
The For All Who Love Foundation supported several events during Trans Awareness month.
About the Project:
Bar Bario, with its core focus on the Black and POC Queer community, is the ideal venue for these events. Queer and Trans culture has been profoundly shaped and nurtured by BIPOC trans people, making it essential to host these gatherings in a space that genuinely represents and honors this legacy.
As one of the few spaces in Amsterdam that actively supports an intersectional and inclusive environment, Bar Bario serves as a unique and vital hub where identities as both people of color and as Queer/Trans individuals are fully welcomed and celebrated.
Through the Los Angles collaborated series, the aim is to create community-centered events that resonate deeply within this intersectional space. Bar Bario’s warm, welcoming atmosphere will provide a “living room” experience—a cozy, affirming environment where individuals can relax, feel seen, and freely express themselves. This series is more than a set of events; it’s a celebration of community and authenticity, and a powerful opportunity to support Trans people in a space built by and for them.
We believe this partnership and event series will foster community, joy, and connection, and we invite sponsors to join us in making this vision a reality. Together, we can create an impactful platform for awareness, celebration, and support for Amsterdam’s Trans and Queer communities.
